Revival in the Public Schools?

I have something else I’d like to share with you guys since I’ve received such a warm and kind reception. Thank you all so much for that. I was recently asked to pray for our public schools and I’ve been seeing more people do so of late. I find this greatly encouraging to see. It’s one thing to talk about the problems but an entirely other thing to really pray. This past summer, I had an encounter with the Lord concerning the public schools and really It was a major shift in my thinking as God was correcting my thinking and ordering me to set my face aright. In the encounter, I saw myself riding in a car up to a public High School and I was mad because I was having to take my grandson to a public school. As I came up to the school, I looked up and read the words and heard them simultaneously, It said, “Hartley High School.” I recalled the name because a year before in WV, there had been a revival that broke out in the southern part of the state that hit the schools and the whole area before it could be contained. The evangelist that had played a role in it was named Matt Hartley, so I linked the two together immediately. I looked around the school steps and I saw a large number of people on them, I saw a minister and his friend dressed in 70’s style with the 70’s hair and the thought that struck me was revival because they looked like they came out of the Jesus movement. As I turned back to my right, there was Jesus just up the steps gesturing and saying to me, “You all need to be challenging the liberal powers in the public schools.” I was surprised because up to that point, I didn’t care if the whole system went under and the Christian schools took over. It just shows how wrong we can be until we get revelation on a subject and God speaks to us. I looked back around and back up at the door and I saw someone at the door swinging it open and telling everyone to come on in. That was the end of the encounter and what I had seen. So the takeaways for me were this. God wants to take the public schools back. I realized my sons of thunder thinking was not in keeping with his redemptive plan, after all, he is mighty to save. So we are supposed to be engaging In warfare, 2 Cor 10: 4, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” We have to challenge in the spirit and pray for the open doors into the schools and engage the schools in the natural like Matt Hartley did and boldly walk through them. The high school that I saw had originally been named after the Druids and in the encounter, it had been given a new name. I felt that was significant as well because I believe God was Identifying specifically the spirits behind the liberal powers that we are supposed to bind and take authority over. I believe the 70’s vibe was God telling me that we are to pray and decree for revival as that is his intention. I believe the open door was for his people to enter through and that he wants to send a tsunami of revival to the public schools to the extent that even the names of schools and teams will be changed to reflect his glory and to honor him. The fact that Jesus said, “You all” and not just me, indicates to me that I am not the only guilty party. I am definitely guilty of thinking way to small and of thinking God to small and really, of myself to small. We need to see ourselves as his legal team to execute judgement in the earth, to decree and bring his will to pass using the authority that he died to retrieve for us on the cross. So now my vision is much bigger than it was before and I am in awe of his plan and shaking my head at the way I used to think. God sure knows how to correct us. So I would like to ask others to join me in prayer for our public schools because his plans are so much greater than we ever could conceive on our own. He wants the public schools back, he wants to seek and save the lost and overturn the tables on the enemy. God is so amazing. He really is mighty to save. God is so good.
